Graeme was a key member of the England Test side that became the best in the world, and that won and retained the Ashes. Known as an entertainer on and off the pitch, since retirement he has taken to the Test Match Special commentary box, the Strictly dancefloor, and the Mastermind chair.

Graeme Swann is a former cricketer, one of the best spin bowlers of recent times and the first English spin bowler to take 50 wickets in a calendar year. Since retirement he has become a commentator and a regular on TV, including as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

During an impressive international career, Graeme went from fringe player to a key part of two Ashes winning teams and a frequent match winner. He was named ECB Cricketer of the Year and ranked the top spin bowler in one day competition. After becoming a regular part of the England Test team he became known as something of a showman on the pitch, whilst also developing a reputation for delivering entertaining interviews off the field.

Since retiring, Graeme has become a regular part of the Test Match Special team and has contributed to BT Sport’s Ashes coverage. Away from the cricket pitch, in addition to his performance on the Strictly dancefloor, he has appeared on Question of Sport, Play to the Whistle, Pointless, and he won his edition of Celebrity Mastermind (specialist subject: Star Wars). He’s also taken to the road on two UK theatre tours in the company of raconteur and commentating great Henry Blofeld.

Alongside hosting and speaking after dinner, Graeme also considers more serious lessons from his time in sport. He has cultivated an interest in the psychology of teamwork, advocating for psychologists to be more involved in the development and management of sports teams.
