Amit is is the Co-Founder and CEO of OpenPolicy, and the former Director of Global Cybersecurity Policy at Intel. Her research covers AI, cybersecurity, hacking, and private ordering in intellectual property. She has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal.


Dr. Amit Elazari is a Cybersecurity, and Technology Policy and Regulation Expert. She is the Co-Founder and CEO of OpenPolicy, the world's first tech-enabled policy and advocacy company, aiming to democratise technology policy and access to lobbying. She teaches at the University of California, the Berkeley School of Information, and at Reichman University in Israel. She also serves as a member of the External Advisory Committee for the UC Berkeley Center of Long Term Cybersecurity.

Amit has delivered talks at global conferences including RSA Security, BlackHat, CES, and SXSW. In her talks Amit considers AI policy and regulations, hacking policy, the future of cybersecurity and what’s next for hardware security.

Prior to OpenPolicy Amit was of Head of Global Cybersecurity Policy at Intel Corporation, responsible for shaping and executing Intel’s global security policy and government affairs engagement across all of Intel technologies.

She chaired the Cybersecurity Policy Committee for the Information Technology Industry Council, U.S. leading Tech trade association, and the Linux Open Source Security Foundation public policy committee.

Amit holds a Doctoral Degree in the Law (J.S.D.) from UC Berkeley School of Law, and graduated summa cum laude in three prior degrees in law and business. She has an extensive background in technical, policy and legal roles, and has practiced Hi-tech, Venture Capital and M&A law in one of Israel’s largest law firms GKH-Law.  

Amit’s research in tech law and policy has appeared in technology law and computer science journals, and she has been in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and the New York Times.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
