Jill Scott

Fee Band

Former England international Jill Scott had an illustrious eighteen year playing career with Manchester City, Everton, Sunderland, and Aston Villa. She won Euro 2022 with the Lionesses in her final game as a professional, and as the second-highest capped player.

One of England's most decorated players, Jill Scott is one of the few Lionesses to have surpassed 150 caps. After featuring at nine major tournaments, she got a winners' medal as part of the team who won EURO 2022 on home soil. Jill’s England career was punctuated with some key strikes, the winner against Netherlands in the EURO 2009 semi-final, the equaliser against Belgium in EURO 2017 qualifying, and the finish in the 3-0 win over Wales which sealed England’s place at France 2019.

She began her career with her hometown Sunderland, before spending seven years at Everton and then joining City in 2013. Jill later had loan spells back at Everton and Aston Villa. She won her hundredth cap against Australia in 2015, before clocking up another fifty over the following six seasons. When Jill started the 3-0 win over Cameroon at France 2019, it was her eighteenth appearance at a World Cup final, the most of any England player in history.

Jill retired from football as the second-highest capped player. During her time in the game, she won every domestic honour, including the Women's Super League title with City, and four women's FA Cups. Jill was also voted FA Players' Player of the Year, FA International Player of the Year, and was appointed an MBE for services to women's football.

Since her retirement Jill has taken up several roles within the broadcasting industry, including punditry on ITV Sport during the men’s World Cup in Qatar and paddle boarding in the Northeast of the country with Robson Green. She also entered the jungle and was crowned the winner of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.
