Sky News presenter Kamali began his news career at Channel 4 and has worked for the BBC, Sky and Bloomberg. He hosts Sky News’ Early Rundown programme every weekday.


Biography

Kamali Melbourne is a presenter at Sky News. He began his news career at Channel 4 News and has worked for the BBC,  Bloomberg and TRT World. 

He began working in television news at ITV Central in Birmingham. He then joined the Channel 4 News team and worked as a producer on some seminal stories including the election of 2010, the Riots of 2011, and the Scottish independence referendum. Kamali then spent a year shooting business features around Europe for Bloomberg before going to Istanbul as an Anchor for TRT World.

On his return to the UK, Kamali joined Sky News to present The Early Rundown. In that time, he was on air to break Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and fronted some of the channel’s coverage of the Edinburgh Television Festival. He was also at Downing Street for the departure of Boris Johnson and was part of Sky’s coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
