Makala Green

Makala Green has two decades of experience transforming businesses and the financial lives of individuals, working across money management, investment planning, property, retirement and estate planning. She has worked and partnered with companies, entrepreneurs, and sports and media professionals to help them achieve financial success and security.

Driven by a lifelong interest in numbers and money, it was whilst working as a bank cashier whilst a teenager that Makala realised the scope of the financial world, the importance of personal finance, and the way money transforms lives. As well as becoming the first Black woman to achieve Chartered Financial Expert status, she has gone on to become the founder of Green Wealth Planning and The Wealth Check, a platform created to make money management simple and give individuals the tools they need to confidently take control of their finances. She has appeared on ITV This Morning and BBC Radio, and featured in publications including the Financial Times, The Independent, Glamour, Stylist, and Women's Health.

Makala understands the financial journeys of individuals, the challenges, pressures and complexities, and seeks solutions to help people reach their financial destination. As well as being an award-winning financial advisor, she is the author of The Money Edit: Your No Blame, No Shame Guide to Taking Control of Your Money. The book is a jargon-free, straight-talking guide to understanding money and money management. With energy and an ability to simplify complex ideas, Makala decodes pensions, demystifies finances and explains the importance of investing in the future.
