Biography

Futurist Matthew Griffin is the former Global Head of Channel Sales and Sales at companies including EMC, IBM, and Atos. He also headed up also headed up IBM’s national security division. The foresight expert is the Founder and Futurist in Chief of the 311 Institute, a global Futures and Deep Futures advisory firm working across the next fifty years, and XPotential University, the world's first free to attend futures and foresight university.

Matthew is the author of the Codex of the Future series, with his latest book authored by Artificial Intelligence and all profits going to charity. He is also the host of the FanaticalFuturist podcast.

He is able to identify, track, and explain the impacts of hundreds of emerging technologies and trends on global business, culture, and society. Matthew’s roster of clients include royalty, world leaders, and G7 and G20 governments.

In speeches Matthew looks at AI and the future of work, how to build future ready organisations, and considers the future of learning and development.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
