Diversity and inclusion expert Naomi Sesay is the Head of Creative Diversity at Channel 4. Within her role she develops and delivers the channel’s diversity strategy. As well as ensuring that diversity continues to be embedded throughout commissioning, Naomi is responsible for fostering and strengthening existing relationships with the UK’s culturally and ethnically diverse creative communities.
An advocate for diversity, inclusion and social enterprise, Naomi began her twenty-year television and media career working for MTV News as a producer, director, and presenter at the height of MTV Europe’s popularity. She was also one of the first producers on Channel 4’s Big Brother. Other roles have included On-Screen Diversity Executive at Channel 4, and Head of Innovation and Diversity for Media Trust.
Naomi then left the TV industry to pursue her social enterprise passion where she created tools and resources for underserved demographics. She has worked with APS Intelligence, an inclusive leadership organisation, as a senior lead trainer in race fluency, and led inclusive leadership training for FTSE 100 companies. Naolim also became a successful property investor and was the founder and director of Billionaire Ladies Club, a global network of aspirational women looking to transform the world through entrepreneurship.
Her book The Human Upgrade: The Power to Create Your Future, is a statement of self, which enlightens the reader towards taking full responsibility for their experiences; to create powerful life choices which can have an impact on a global scale.
