According to Time Out, the star of the hit West End and Broadway show The Illusionists ‘does tricks that would make Jesus proud' and can boast working with Hugh Jackman, Heston Blumenthal, and on the stage production of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child.


Biography

Chris Cox is the only mind-reader in history to have starred on Broadway, sold out twenty-two shows at Sydney Opera House, and performed four seasons at London’s West End. The Guardian believes he is “one of the most exciting entertainers in Britain”, while Time Out thinks, “he does tricks that would make Jesus proud”.

Chris stars in the world’s biggest magic show The Illusionists. He also created, hosted, and headlined Wonderville at the Palace Theatre in London’s West End. He’s written and performed five critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival shows, four solo UK Tours, two extended sell-out runs at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, and won two Edinburgh Fringe Awards, and a Best Comedy Show award. He also starred as Muddles alongside Warwick Davis in Snow White & The Seven Dwarf and has performed at Shakespeare's Globe, Latitude, and the Reading & Leeds Festivals.

As well as starring in his own BBC shows Chris Cox’s Mind-Boggling Magic and Killer Magic, he has appeared on Blue Peter, America's Got Talent, Heston Blumenthal’s Recipe For Romance, and The Secret Of Star Wars, and was part of the BAFTA nominated team who brought magic to BBC One’s Merlin. He has also read One Direction’s minds at the BBC Music Awards.

As a creative consultant and creator of magic and theatrical creative experiences Chris has developed material for Park Row Restaurant in collaboration with DC Comics and Warner Brothers in London, and for Heston Blumenthal and the three-Michelin-starred Fat Duck Restaurant.

He was the writer and producer of BBC Radio 1’s Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine The Musical, The Matt Edmondson Show, Dan & Phil's Guide To Happiness, and The Story Of Tim Minchin. Chris is also the Magic and Illusions Assistant for Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Parts One and Two, and Charlie & The Chocolate Factory.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
