Chris Cox

Fee Band

As the mind reader who can’t read minds, Chris combines psychology, humour, body language, influencing skills and plain lying to suggest he actually can. According to Time Out, the star of the hit West End and Broadway show The Illusionists ‘does tricks that would make Jesus proud' and can boast working with Hugh Jackman, Heston Blumenthal, and on the stage production of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child.

Award-winning ‘mind reader who can’t read minds’ Chris Cox has starred on Broadway, the West End and the Sydney Opera House. He’s been described by The Guardian as ‘one of the most exciting entertainers in Britain’, and in an impressively diverse career so far has managed to combine winning Edinburgh Fringe awards with children’s TV and working with Hollywood stars and a Michelin-starred chef.

Chris combines humour, magic, psychology, body language, influencing, and lying into performances that are both bewildering, intriguing and entertaining. A confident and charismatic performer, Chris makes audiences think he knows what they’re thinking, despite never knowing what they’re thinking, or being able to really do anything he claims.

Alongside stage shows including the global The Illusionists tour, Chris has performed live and on TV around the world, including his own BBC shows. He’s worked with Hugh Jackman and Tim Minchin, served as creative consultant at Heston Blumenthal’s restaurant The Fat Duck, and consulted on stage productions of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Barnum. He’s also created bespoke material for brands including O2, Virgin Atlantic and Allianz. As well as performances, Chris also takes a more serious look at creativity and the psychology of change with speeches combining lessons from his career and interactive mind reading.
