Biography

Eliza Doolittle is a popular singer and songwriter with a number of top ten singles and albums to her name. Well-known across Europe, she is perhaps best known are her songs Pack Up, and Skinny Genes.

It was perhaps inevitable that Eliza embark on a showbusiness career; her father is an acclaimed theatre writer and director, and her mother a respected musical theatre performer who won a Tony for her role in Les Misérables. Her grandmother also happens to be Sylvia Young, founder of the celebrated stage school.

Starting her career like many others in the past by touring around the UK, Eliza’s first tour developed into the ‘Playground Unplugged’ tour as she played at secondary schools around the country. She then recorded her first EP which garnered support from a number of Radio 1 shows.

Her debut single, Skinny Genes went straight into the UK top 30 and was used in the TV ad for fashion retailer very.co.uk. She followed this with her first top 10 single, Pack Up. There then followed her eponymous album which entered the charts as number three. Her music was used in the British cult film AdULTHOOD, she supported Paloma Faith on tour, and has appeared on Big Brother's Little Brother and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Away from music she also works as a model and ambassador for Nike.
