Biography

For over a decade Madhen have been entertaining at events all over the world with superb musicianship and extraordinary energy.

Five full-time, professional musicians perform party classics from 50 years of music. In addition to their exceptional party line up, Madhen also perform three dedicated tribute acts: So 80s is a tribute to the big hair, shoulder pads and make up (for boys and girls) of the decade of New Romantics. Scizzor Sisterz is a bright, energetic tribute to the hi-energy dance pop of the Scissor Sisters, and So Blondie sees the band transform into the seminal new wave 70s/80s New York band led by Debbie Harry.

An excellent stage show, huge amounts of energy, and unparalleled musicianship has made Madhen one of the most acclaimed party bands around performing for clients from Barclays to Virgin, Tesco to Fiat, and even the wedding reception of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
