Poor White Trash formed for Ben Elton’s wedding. Lenny and friends took to the stage and played a set full of covers, including Heartbreak Hotel (in Welsh). Lenny hosts evening awards, then fronts the band.

Biography

Poor White Trash and the Little Big Horns began in the nineties, at Ben Elton's wedding. Borrowing instruments from the wedding band, Lenny Henry, Sophie Elton, Hugh Laurie and Adrian Edmonson took to the stage, playing a set full of covers including Heartbreak Hotel in Welsh.

Their first proper gig was the Sense and Sensibility wrap party in front of a Hollywood cast list including Kate Winslett, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman . This was followed by two nights at the Edinburgh Festival.

Their biggest performance to date was on behalf of Comic Relief in a live show called The Empire Strikes Back. They have since performed with a number of comedy and musical guests.
