Sugar Sisters

Fee Band

Terry Wogan found the Sugars busking in Portobello Road. They’ve since charmed Radio 2 and One Show audiences, and topped the bill at St James’s Theatre. With trademark red lipstick and enchanting three part harmonies they slip between 40s swing, calypso and 90s R&B.

Biography

The Sugar Sisters are three solo performers, Ruby Wood, Stac and Heather McClelland, who have been brought together by a love of three part harmonies, ukulele and red lipstick.

As three accomplished and stylistically individual solo artists, the Sugar Sisters are able to deliver sophisticated harmonies and arrangements of 1940’s swing, 90’s RnB and Calypso with a playful sassiness and infectious charm. Their performances are always vibrant and dynamic and have the ability to captivate any audience.

In February this year The Sugar Sisters were spotted busking on Portobello Road and invited to perform live on Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 show, Weekend Wogan. They went down a storm and were invited to return a mere six weeks later to close the last show of the season with a goodbye medley for Sir Terry himself. In the same week, M&G, the sponsors of The Chelsea Flower Show asked the ladies to perform at the 100th anniversary of the prestigious London event, where they had a fabulous time wowing their audience.
