After squeezing an entire life into one hour in Seven Years In The Bathroom, Alex and band are now firm favourites on Radio 4.
Comedian Alex Horne has gathered together some of the UK’s finest jazz musicians to create a unique brand of music-infused comedy. Part improvised, part performance, part party - complete with interactive games such as Twister and Battleships and (on request) special surprise guest appearances.
Alex and co first appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe and in a very short time went on to enjoy a sell-out West End theatre run. With exuberance and understated class, The Horne Section revive the spirit of variety with audience participation, music, comedy, and occasional appearances from dancers, singers and other cabaret performers.
Often unpredictable but always entertaining, The Horne Section cover a range from comic songs to standup routines, sketches to storytelling. They were described by Time Out as ‘fresh, original and blissfully funny’ the boys have also played at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and recorded a show for Radio 4.
