Alan’s style of humour and effortless stage presence has made him one of Britain’s most successful and treasured comedians. With sixteen series of his Channel 4 show Chatty Man under his belt, Alan has won a multitude of awards including NTA’s, RTS Awards and a BAFTA in 2013.
Alan is in high demand both as a host and guest on television and has appeared on Interior Design Masters and Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow. As well as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. Alan can also be seen presenting his panel show There’s Something About Movies on Sky One. Another TV show highlight saw Alan host The Royal Variety Performance at the Royal Albert Hall. He has also co-hosted four Stand Up to Cancer live fundraising events for Channel 4, as well as appearing on a Celebrity Bake Off Stand up To Cancer Special.
As well as TV, Alan hosted his own popular Radio 2 show, and can be heard on his podcast Life’s A Beach, which has featured guests such as Louis Theroux, Michael Sheen, Damon Albarn and Mel C.
Offstage Alan is like his onscreen persona: down to earth, self-deprecating and wickedly funny. But he really delivers onstage. His opening routine intersperses topical gags with industry-specific material, and his energy is unrelenting. I can't recommend him highly enough.
