Standup superstar and king of chat, Alan’s sharp wit skewers and endears celebrities and audiences alike. Alan gleefully revives game shows of yesteryear alongside his judging role on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Since winning the BBC New Comedy Award, Alan Carr has become one of the hottest stand-ups in Britain. He is best known as host of his own Channel 4 chat show Chatty Man, and has become a mainstay of the broadcaster’s comedy programming, including their new year’s shows. As well as appearing as a guest judge on Ru Paul’s Drag Race UK, Alan presents his Epic Gameshow, the hit panel show There’s Something About Movies and Interior Design Masters.

Alan’s camp, exuberant style belies a razor sharp wit and a talent for railing against the irritants and idiocies of his life and the modern world. Whether it’s celebrity culture or his dating nightmares, Alan’s combination of the upbeat and the cynical has made him a hit on and off screen.

As well as TV, Alan hosted his own popular Radio 2 show. Since his breakthrough co-hosting The Friday (later Sunday) Night Project Alan has also appeared on Live at the Apollo, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, 8 Out Of 10 Cats and the Royal Variety Performance. He’s one of the UK’s biggest selling live comedians and held the record for the biggest selling comedy debut DVD, with Tooth Fairy.

Agent Recommendation

Offstage Alan is like his onscreen persona: down to earth, self-deprecating and wickedly funny. But he really delivers onstage. His opening routine intersperses topical gags with industry-specific material, and his energy is unrelenting. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day

Samira Ahmed, Eniola Aluko, and Alex Mahon

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
