After finding fame on CBBC, Angellica has gone on to be The One Show’s longest serving reporter, travelling the country and talking to people about a range of issues from the local to the international, the political to the cultural. She’s also fronted How Safe is Your House, Holiday Hit Squad, and The Great British Village Show.


Biography

Angellica Bell is a Bafta-nominated TV presenter who started out on CBBC before moving on to primetime entertainment and lifestyle programmes. She is now one of The One Show’s longest serving reporters, and co-hosts The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, which helps consumers navigate the cost of living crisis.

After studying politics, Angellica became a presenter on CBBC fronting programmes like The Saturday Show, the young people’s consumer programme Xchange, and the search for the young political leaders of the future, Election. A gifted cellist and pianist, she also co-hosted the Radio 3 children’s music show Making Tracks.

After CBBC Angellica joined The One Show, bringing her friendly, engaging, and intelligent style to reports around the country on everything from children’s books to community protests to James Bond, as well as acting as co-host on the programme.

In addition to the hugely popular magazine show Angellica has fronted BBC programmes including How Safe is Your House, Holiday Hit Squad, Departure Lounge, and The Great British Village Show alongside Alan Titchmarsh and James Martin. She sang her way through Comic Relief Does Fame Academy, has appeared on Children In Need, voiced the BBC reuniting programme Family Finders, and trekked through the Arctic tundra on 71 Degrees North.

Angellica is a fantastic cook who won Celebrity Masterchef. Her book Fantastic Eats! (& how to cook them): fabulous recipes for children to make, has step-by-step recipes to get youngsters excited about creating sweet and savoury dishes.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
