Biography

Bev Turner is a journalist and presenter with more than twenty-five years’ experience. She is the host of the live daily morning news show, GB News Day alongside, Associate Editor of The Daily Mail, Andrew Pierce. Since joining GB News Bev has cemented herself as a well-loved presenter who inspires record audience loyalty and is a very safe pair of hands for live broadcasts. During Bev's time at the channel the female audience has grown more than any other demographic.

Bev began her TV career at ITV, initially hosting sports such as F1 and the UK's exclusive coverage of the NBA basketball but transitioned into lifestyle shows covering property (Homes Live on BBC2), cookery (Taste, Sky One) travel (Postcards from Paradise, The Travel Channel) and health (The Bump Club, BBC Radio Five Live). For three years Bev hosted her on show on LBC Radio at the weekends.

She has written three books, The Pits: The Real World of Formula 1; Touching Distance, detailing her then husband's recovery from a traumatic brain injury, and The Happy Birth Book, a humorous best-selling pregnancy and birth guide which arose from her small business, The Happy Birth Club, at which she taught ante-natal classes across three venues in West London for nearly ten years.

Bev is a former model and competitive swimmer; she has a First-Class English literature and language degree and is a keen netballer.

During the pandemic, Bev gained a reputation as a fearless campaigner for the rights of children, civil liberties, and bodily autonomy. She took the government to court, asking for a judicial review over the decision to distribute the covid vaccine to children without any long-term data. This position inspired a large social media following of fellow-parents who view her as a champion of children and free-speech.

After the birth of her second child, Bev trained as a psychotherapist and although she no longer practices, believes this skill comes in handy when interviewing politicians.

Bev is a highly experienced Conference Chair, Awards Host and Debate Adjudicator. As the host of a daily, breaking news show, she is extremely knowledgeable about current affairs and social issues but can handle any topic with warmth, humour, and compassion.
