Biography

Charlie Luxton is an architectural designer who combines his design work with writing and presenting television programmes. He is passionate about the environment and communicating his enthusiasm for sustainable architecture and eco-friendly design.

From looking at unique seaside properties in Homes By The Sea to helping people design and build their dream homes in Building The Dream, Charlie has covered the best in architecture and sustainability. He’s looked at the stories behind historic buildings in Brick by Brick: Rebuilding Our Past, and the power and politics of the world’s iconic skyscrapers in Vertical City.

As a designer Charlie’s worked on houses and projects all over the country including on London’s Olympic Park and a self-build scheme in Buckinghamshire. Other TV series Charlie has presented include Channel 4's London's Great Bridges: Lighting the Thames, I Own Britain’s Best House, Behind Closed Doors, The Great Treehouse Challenge, and Restored to Glory.
