Alongside co-hosting Britain's most popular Saturday night show Claudia fronts a very different contest looking for the country's best amateur cooks. Amongst her many credits she's fronted arts, film and entertainment on TV and radio, from coverage of the Oscars to Have I Got News for You to her own Radio 2 show.


Biography

One of the country's best-known and most popular presenters, Claudia Winkleman is the co-host of Strictly Come Dancing. She took the role after hosting the show’s results programme and the spin-off Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two. She is also the host of cookery competition Britain's Best Home Cook and previously fronted The Great British Sewing Bee and of the BBC’s Film show.

After graduating from Cambridge, Claudia became a fashion editor for Tatler, where she also wrote columns on motoring and nutrition. She has since contributed to Vogue, The Sunday Times and The Independent. She also presented Claudia Winkleman’s Arts Show on BBC Radio 2, and as well as hosting her own weekly show on the station, has freqently sat-in for other presenters including Dermot O'Leary and Ken Bruce.

Claudia has fronted the Oscars’ coverage for Sky, and has co-hosted Comic Relief does Fame Academy and the Eurovision Dance Contest. She has presented The House of Tiny Tearaways, and the BBC writing challenge in which members of the public completed stories started by some of the country’s best known authors. Amongst a wealth of guest appearances she's appeared on Have I Got News For You (as a guest and as host), Would I Lie to You?, QI, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
