Biography

Dougie Vipond anchors Sportscene, BBC Scotland’s live football and sports show. He also presented the award-winning leisure series The Big Country, which saw him sailing, riding, diving, parachuting and gorge walking in every corner of Scotland.

Originally a drummer with Deacon Blue, Dougie hosted the music and chat show Late Edition, as well as arts shows NB and Live from the Lemon Tree. He has also reported for Scotland Today as music and arts correspondent, and formed another band: The Swiss Family Orbison!
