Ellie has gone from entering the ITV comic talent contest Show Me The Funny with no prior standup experience to being a regular on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and The Mash Report. She’s got her hands dirty trying to rid the UK of fake tan on make-under show Snog Marry Avoid, has travelled back to Roman times in Plebs, and co-hosts her own Heart radio show.


Biography

Ellie Taylor is a comedian, actress, model and presenter. She entered ITV’s comic talent contest Show Me The Funny with no prior experience of standup, and finished fourth in the competition with a great deal of acclaim and many new fans. She’s now a regular on panel and standup shows.

With infectious charm and enthusiasm, Ellie runs through her observations on Facebook photos taken on girls’ nights out, her native Essex, being the one-time face of Matalan, and moving back in with parents. According the The Guardian she “radiates natural charisma and is blessed with great flair”.

As well as various comic acting roles, including in the ITV2 hit Plebs, Ellie has presented Snog, Marry, Avoid for BBC3. She has appeared on 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, and Big Brother’s Bit on the Side. She’s been a team captain on ITV2’s Fake Reaction, was a regular on BBC2’s satirical Mash Report and on Jason Manford’s The Nightly Show. She starred in the Disney Channel’s global hit series The Lodge, and has won Company Magazine’s Lady HaHa award. She also co-hosts the Sunday evening show on Heart radio.

Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
