Biography

Acclaimed MC and headliner at the world-famous London Comedy Store, Ian is unique on the international standup scene. As well as performing shows around the world, he’s an award-winning, best-selling crime author who lives in rural France with an expanding menagerie of animals, and a sideline as a specialist chutney producer.

Alongside Jimmy Carr, Ian made such an impact in the sell-out Britcom show at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival, that he was invited to headline the event’s finale and to appear on TV and tour in Australia. He then returned home to the Loire Valley where the locals still don’t really know what he does for a living.

Described as 'one of the country's top comedians’ by The Guardian, Ian is an experienced host and performer that has toured all over the world with the likes of Jack Dee and Dara Ò Briain. With a background in corporate communications, Ian is also a regular voice on BBC radio, and amongst many TV appearances was a weekly winner on Richard Osman’s House of Games.
