Jake’s profile soared when he hosted the BBC’s Formula One coverage, and he went on to be one of the lead presenters at London 2012. After writing The Inside Track, he now fronts BT’s football coverage. He also co-hosts the High Performance podcast alongside his Lessons from the Best book

Jake Humphrey was the lead presenter of the BBC’s Formula 1 team, travelling the world in the company of Eddie Jordan, David Coulthard and Martin Brundle. He also has the distinction of being the youngest presenter to have hosted Match of the Day and now anchors for BT Sport’s Premier League football coverage. He is also co-host of The High-Performance podcast with author professor Damian Hughes, offering an intimate glimpse into the lives of high-achieving individuals.

Jake began his career with six years on CBBC, joining the eminent list of Newsround presenters. He then fronted the spin-off Sportsround, a live Saturday morning sports show, reporting from the Commonwealth Games, the Winter Olympics and the Cricket World Cup in Antigua.

Sportsround led to a plethora of other sports assignments, and Free Speech, BBC Three’s junior version of Question Time. Jake was one of the star presenters of London 2012, fronting coverage from the velodrome as well as other presenting duties. He has also fronted live coverage of the NFL Superbowl, the London Marathon and the African Cup of Nations as well as Final Score. He has co-hosted BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year and fronts the online F121 series of motorsport interviews. Away from the track and the pitch he’s also guest presented The One Show and This Morning, joined the news team covering the Royal Wedding, and presented Channel 4’s Bedtime Live.

Samira Ahmed, Eniola Aluko, and Alex Mahon

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
