Continuing to host 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown (and its conventional comedy panel show forebear) as well as assorted Big Fat Quizzes Jimmy remains one of the best known comedians in the country. Since opting out of a career in marketing, he’s sold over a million DVDs, toured relentlessly, and was the first British comic to film a special for Netflix.

Jimmy Carr is Channel 4’s face of comedy and one of the most distinctive talents on television.
Jimmy fronts the topical panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats and its Countdown-based spin-off. He’s also served as one of the presenters of the weekly satire 10 O’Clock Live and fronted the prime-time game show Distraction, The Friday Night Project, various incarnations of Big Fat Quizzes, and Your Face Or Mine.
A quarter-life crisis prompted Jimmy to quit marketing and train as a psychotherapist before taking to the comedy circuit. Described as England's answer to Emo Phillips, his lovingly crafted material deconstructs modern living and produces more one-liners per minute than should be humanly possible.
Jimmy has guest presented Have I Got News For You, is a regular QI panellist, and frequently appears on a bewildering range of panel shows and list programmes. In the US, he’s taken to the late night chat shows with appearances on Tonight With Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Away from TV, Jimmy was the first comedian to perform a gig online on Second Life and was the first Brit to get his own Netflix special. He is consistently one of the UK’s top live comedy draws touring almost every year and his live DVDs have regularly been bestsellers. He’s even toured with the band The Killers.
Jimmy has appeared in the films Confetti, Storm Breaker, and Telstar, and is also the proud author of a history of jokes, The Naked Jape.
