Biography

Matt Richardson is a presenter and comedian best-known as the co-host of ITV2’s The Xtra Factor, for his drive-time show on Virgin Radio, and for many other appearance on a range of panel and entertainment shows.

A stand-up from the age of 18, Matt was a So You Think You’re Funny finalist, and the winner of Chortle’s Student Comedian of the Year. He was quickly performing nationwide tours alongside appearances on TV. Matt has become a regular guest on programmes such as Celebrity Juice, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and Sweat the Small Stuff. As well as the Xtra Factor he's co-hosted Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live!, he's also competed in Dancing On Ice, and with musician Matt Willis he co-hosts the When No One's Looking podcast in which the pair ask famous people what they get up to in private.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
