Nicky’s credits range from consumer affairs to live studio debates, sports and phone-ins. He has also reunited long lost family members.

Nicky made his name with Watchdog, Wheel of Fortune and Top of the Pops. He has since fronted the BBC’s popular Sunday morning debate, The Big Questions, and established himself as co-presenter of Long Lost Family and host of the breakfast programme on 5 Live.

Born in Edinburgh, Nicky began writing jingles for Grampian TV and Aberdeen’s Northsound Radio. This led to him being asked to host his own show, The World Of Opera. He ended up presenting the station’s breakfast programme for two years.

Following a stint at Capital Radio and writing sketches for Spitting Image, Nicky joined Radio 1 as host of Into The Night - mixing comment, music and interviews. His distinctive style and humour earned him a healthy audience and a break into television. As well as the peak time game show, he co-presented Late Night Live with Andrew Neil.

Nicky continues to prove his versatility. He has presented everything from Newsnight films to Olympics coverage, the Rugby World Cup and a European Election Special - but he still finds time to fit in his other passions: golf and swing music.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
