Rhys James

Fee Band

With charm, puns and even poetry, Rhys looks at his life and the world around him. As well as his own Radio 4 series he’s appeared on Mock the Week and Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central.

Rhys James is a comedian, writer and actor. He is a familiar face on TV, appearing on Mock the Week, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, and more.

The self-consciously precocious comedian has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe to sell-out audiences and critical acclaim, and his show Forgives was awarded a spot in the Best Reviewed Shows of the Fringe list. He offers up puns and poetry on subjects from lad culture to cats stuck in trees, charmingly teasing his audience.

Rhys has been seen on ITV2’s current affairs sketch show @elevenish. For Radio 4 he’s appeared on Fresh From the Fringe and Don’t Make Me Laugh, as well as his own series, Rhys James is... in which he tackled loneliness and privilege, interviewing people from his childhood who had the most influence on his life.

Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day

Samira Ahmed, Eniola Aluko, and Alex Mahon

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
