Biography for Rosie Jones

Rosie’s effusive energy has transformed her from a TV researcher into a must-see act on the UK comedy circuit. Her cerebral palsy is central to her comedic perspective, making her one of the UK’s most successful comedians to talk about disability in their work from a first-hand point of view.

Her shows Fifteen Minutes and Backward were both sell-out successes at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Scotsman described one as “both elegantly crafted and mischievous to its bones”.

She has appeared on hit shows such as Live At The Apollo, The Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, The Last Leg, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, Mock The Week, The Ranganation, and Jon Richardson’s Channel Hopping, as well as fronting two travelogue series for Channel 4, Mission: Accessible and Trip Hazard. She also hosted the podcast Daddy Look at Me with fellow comic Helen Bauer.

Rosie’s debut children’s book The Amazing Edie Eckhart was an endearing and laugh-out-loud story of the eponymous Edie, a schoolgirl with cerebral palsy and a love of performance. The sequel The Amazing Edie Eckhart: The Big Trip, finds Edie trying to turn a nightmare school trip into something positive.
