Stacey Solomon is a veteran of not one but two of the biggest reality shows on TV. She came to public attention as a contestant on The X Factor and later went on to win I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! She’s now a presenter in her own right, as a member of ITV’s Loose Women panel and co-hosted I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!: Extra Camp.
As a twenty year-old single mother from Essex, Stacey entered the sixth series of The X Factor without the same stage school background many other contests have, just a passion for music and a striking voice. She sailed through the early rounds, excelled on the X Factor tour, and made it to the final, becoming the last woman in the competition, finally beaten by Olly Murs, and winner Joe Mcelderry.
Her X Factor experience had made her a public favourite, and rather than going straight into the studio Stacey went into the jungle on I'm a Celebrity... Further proving her popularity, she went on to beat Shaun Ryder in the final and was crowned ‘Queen of the Jungle’ with over eighty percent of the vote.
Since her jungle exploits, Stacey has appeared on Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Celebrity Mastermind. She has sung at the FA Cup final, and also at the National Television Awards where she reunited with Shaun Ryder to perform the Happy Monday’s classic Step On. She also returned to X Factor to co-host the show from her native Essex, and fronted Iceland’s Christmas ad campaign including singing the accompanying Driving Home for Christmas (her first solo single).
Additionally, Stacey presents BAFTA nominated series Sort Your Life Out for BBC One and is a long-standing ambassador for Dove and Primark Kids.
Stacey is the queen of Tap To Tidy. Her organisation and upcycling hacks have become a social media phenomenon and are the inspiration behind her Sunday Times Number One bestselling book Tap To Tidy. Stacey’s second book Tap To Tidy at Pickle Cottage was a guide for readers to craft and create the home of their dreams.
