After news presenting, reporting on the Oscars and making it all the way to the Strictly final, Susanna switched to the ITV breakfast sofa.


Biography

Susanna Reid is a journalist and presenter, one of the main presenters of the ITV breakfast show, Good Morning Britain.

Susanna started her career at BBC Radio Bristol before moving to Five Live and spending some time as a producer. She spent two years presenting on BBC News 24 before moving to the Breakfast sofa alongside Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt. She regularly featured on the Andrew Marr Show has also been a guest on Pointless, Celebrity Juice, Loose Women, and Through the Keyhole. She was also a runner up in 2013’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Early in her career, Susanna spent several months doing voluntary work in Sri Lanka and is a patron of Media Trust, for whom she regularly hosts events. While at the BBC she was an established participant of the Children in Need ‘Newsreaders’ Performance’.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
