The former model and ex-SMTV Live presenter has earned her place in the nation’s hearts on Strictly. She’s also co-hosted The One Show and Children in Need.


Biography

Tess co-presents Strictly Come Dancing with Claudia Winkleman and fronted the BBC show Just the Two of Us, alongside husband Vernon Kay.

A popular choice with all age groups, Tess woke up the nation on ITV1’s favourite Saturday morning show SM:TV. She hosted the Dancestar Awards for MTV, as well as Your World Cup Pitch for ITV1, and LA Pool Party for the BBC. She also presented the daytime heats for Britain’s Brainiest Kids.

After being spotted by Models One, Tess achieved great modelling success, gracing the cover of over ten magazines. She lived in Madrid, Tokyo, Paris, Barcelona and New York, immersing herself in the various cultures. While in New York she made Brits Abroad, where Tess interviewed various luminaries including the quintessential Brit abroad Quentin Crisp.

Tess’s first presenting break came when she spent six weeks scouring the country for The Big Breakfast’s Find Me A Model Competition. Stints on the Phone Zone and The Mix led to her presenting Singled Out, Surf Trip and Smash Hits TV.

Tess loves to write and has been published by Paper magazine. She has also danced her way through numerous pop videos for artists ranging from Duran Duran and Soul II Soul to The Beloved.

Outside of TV,  Tess is an ambassador for Well Woman, The Princes Trust, and Ultherapy, the co-founder of Naia Beach beachwear, and a patron of Great Ormand Street Children’s Hospital.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
