Trevor is the first international breakout comedian from South Africa, and the first to appear on David Letterman’s legendary Late Show. He has toured extensively in the UK and around the world, and replaced Jon Stewart on The Daily Show.

Biography

Trevor Noah has rocketed from hotly-tipped stand-up to international TV presenter. In just a few years he’s gone from a star in his native South Africa to performing all over the world, lauded by critics, audiences and other comedians (including support from Eddie Izzard) to replacing Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s international hit The Daily Show.

Starting out as a teenage actor in South Africa, Trevor became a popular radio host. He moved away from radio to concentrate on stand-up becoming a firm favourite on the national circuit before travelling to comedy festivals around the world. He moved to the US where he appeared on many of the talk shows, including The Tonight Show and the Late Show with David Letterman. He became a contributor to The Daily Show and just a few months later he was the surprise choice to replace the out-going host, the hugely popular Jon Stewart.

Live, Trevor is confident, laid-back and likeable as he looks at the unique nature of life in South Africa and compares its advantages and quirks to the rest of the world, and finds unlikely humour in his story of growing up in a Soweto township.

Aside from his US TV appearances, he’s appeared in the UK on QI and 8 Out of 10 Cats, and was even a contestant on South Africa’s Strictly Come Dancing.
