Vernon Kay is one of the UK’s most recognisable hosts. He first made his name as host of Channel 4’s weekend magazine show T4 where his spontaneity and every-man charm made him a hit. He’s since presented on radio and TV with credits including All Star Family Fortunes, Beat the Star and, in the US, Skating with the Stars. He’s also hosted Just the Two of Us with his wife, Tess Daly, before moving into presenting the mid-morning slot on Radio 2.
Vernon’s initial brush with fame came when he was spotted by a scout at Clothes Show Live. After winning Big Breakfast’s Model of the Week, he progressed to presenting shows like Boys and Girls, Record of the Year and Hit Me Baby One More Time - both in the US and the UK. As well as fronting a number of gameshows he’s appeared as a guest on the likes of Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats, and Room 101. He also finished third in Covid-compliant, Wales-based series of I'm A Celebrity...
A huge NFL fan (and sometime player with London Warriors), Vernon’s fronted TV coverage of the game and co-hosts a regular NFL podcast. He’s fronted live golf and boat race coverage, and reports from the pit lane for the BBC's coverage of Formula E. He also presented his own Radio 1 show for eight years, before switching to commercial station Radio X.
Vernon is now the presenter of Formula E, regularly covers for This Morning on ITV, and launched his Dance Sounds of the 90s show for Radio 2.
