Leadership is one of the most requested speech topics here at JLA so it was no surprise that the JLAB was near capacity for our Speakers Breakfast on Leadership Under Pressure.

We had three fantastic leadership speakers, former deputy chief medical officer Professor Jonathan Van-Tam, Olympic gold medalist and former GB hockey captain Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE and master of Jesus College Sonita Alleyne OBE who captivated our audience with their individual insights into how they came to lead and what key values they found within themselves that proved most valuable when in times of crisis.

The event was hosted superbly by science broadcaster and emergency medicine doctor Kevin Fong who also chaired a panel discussion where they talked about imposter syndrome, the benefits of understanding why a leader may feel this and what good leadership will look like in the future.
