Biography

Jeneba is an award-winning pianist and cellist, and a member of a remarkable family of musicians. The Guardian described her 2021 BBC Proms debut as ‘marvellously expressive.’

Starting out at the Royal Academy of Music, Jeneba attained Grade 8 Distinction in piano at the age of nine. She went on to reach the final of the BBC Young Musician competition and has since won the Iris Dyer and Murs du Son Prizes, and toured in Paris and the Caribbean. Beyond the concert hall she has performed for the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, and appeared on JLA’s Real Variety Show playing Lizst’s Hungarian Rhapsody.

Jeneba’s growing list of television and radio credits includes The BAFTAs and The Royal Variety Performance. She also starred with Sheku and her other siblings in BBC’s This House is Full of Music and Young, Gifted and Classical. Alongside other engagements she continues to study at The Royal College of Music under the tutelage of Vanessa Latarche.
