Adam’s career has taken in sport, business and personal finance, via a spell as Comms Director for the BOA and for Travelodge Hotels.
Adam Parsons is Sky News’ Europe Correspondent. He was previously a BBC presenter, covering sports during his first spell there and news and business during his second. In between the two BBC roles he served as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the British Olympic Association, then as its Director of Sport Liaison and also worked on the board of Travelodge Hotels.
Starting his journalistic career in print, Adam was the motor racing correspondent at The Sunday Times before moving to Sunday Business as Sports Editor. He has raced with Damon Hill and collaborated with him on a book about racing. As a BBC Sports Correspondent, Adam chased Martin Johnson along the beach during the Rugby World Cup and trailed around Tokyo shops in search of David Beckham.
After working outside the media working with the BOA and Travelodge, Adam returned to the BBC with first hand experience of the business world. He covered business news as well as continuing the sports brief. He presented 5 Live Breakfast and Wake up to Money, Radio 5 Live’s daily business and consumer programme before moving to Sky News where he became the Business Correspondent.
As well as a wealth of experience presenting and facilitating both business and sports related events, Adam also has a rich fund of anecdotes to share with audiences interested in anything from Formula One to London 2012 to what happens in TV when the cameras are off.
