The former business specialist moved to the mainstream with The One Show before transferring to ITV, continuing to cover football, and heading up the channel’s breakfast programming. Back at the BBC he continues to cover sport, news and business.

Biography

A versatile broadcaster, Adrian Chiles has presented business and financial news, breakfast television, Champions League football, and a range of factual programming on radio and TV.

The former One Show host cut his teeth on Working Lunch before transferring to the Match of the Day 2 sofa. The first host of The Apprentice: You’re Fired he also fronted editions of Panorama and trailed the likes of Richard Branson for So What Do You Do All Day. Having proven himself a man for all broadcasting seasons - be it sport, consumer or lifestyle shows, he moved to The One Show before his high-profile move to ITV where he hosted football coverage, his own chat show, and the channel’s breakfast programme.

Originally a print journalist, Adrian joined BBC Radio as a researcher on Financial World Tonight and World Business Report. He moved into television and reported on everything from the Royal finances to European Union food policy. He’s also been a guest host on Have I Got News For You, a regular on Radio 5 Live across their schedule, and fronted an acclaimed, personal examination into British society’s relationship with alcohol, Drinkers Like Me.
