The co-founder of Candy Kittens, one of the fastest growing confectionary brands in Europe, Jamie has gone from Made In Chelsea to being a popular face and voice across the media, from Strictly Come Dancing to Radio 1 to his NewlyWeds and Great Company podcasts.
Jamie Laing is an entrepreneur, presenter and media personality known for combining creativity and business, along with his own brand of energy and charm, to build a career that spans TV, radio, podcasting and consumer brands. First rising to fame on E4’s Made in Chelsea, Jamie has since become a breakout star crossing audiences and genres.
Shortly after his reality TV debut Jamie co-founded the adult-targeted vegan sweets brand Candy Kittens, which became one of Europe’s fastest-growing confectionery companies. Jamie and co-founder Ed then launched Tuckshop, a business that supports content creators move into physical products and brands. Jamie is also the founder of Jampot Productions, the podcast company behind chart-topping series including NewlyWeds, which Jamie co-hosts with his wife Sophie Habboo, and Great Company, where he talks with a wide range of guests covering subjects from mental health to what success looks like. Whilst his Private Parts podcast explores the intimate lives of celebrities with honesty and humour, and his YouTube channel Happy Hour delivers weekly positivity and entertainment. This digital-first content strategy has positioned Jamies as a leader in influencer-led entertainment.
Jamie has also appeared on a variety of entertainment shows including Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity Hunted, and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off. He’s a regular presenter on BBC Radio 1, having hosted the podcast 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer, and standing in as guest presenter on Mollie King’s and Jordan North’s shows. He’s also collaborated with brands including Burberry, Spotify and CeraVe.
In his memoir I Can Explain, Jamie offered a candid exploration of his own mental health challenges, including anxiety and burnout, and he champions the importance of vulnerability, resilience and friendship throughout his work. He has worked with numerous charities, including Comic Relief with whom he famously raised £2 million by undertaking five ultra-marathons in five days. He’s also an ambassador for YoungMinds, advocating for improvements in and awareness of young people’s mental health.
