Groove Armada (DJ Set)

Fee Band

Andy Cato and Tom Findlay have made successful albums for over a decade. Refusing to stick to any one style, hits include I See You Baby, At The River and Superstylin’ – good clean club fun.

Biography

One of Britain's most popular dance acts, Groove Armada have produced an eclectic range of music since their inception. Perhaps what keeps Groove Armada's popularity growing is the refusal of duo Tom Findlay and Andy Cato to keep it to one style.

They have produced such hits as I See You Baby (remixed by Fatboy Slim), If Everybody Looked the Same and Superstylin.

The band’s debut album Northern Star was followed by Vertigo, which made the Top 20 in the UK charts. An album of remixes followed shortly after, featuring post-productions by DJ Icey and Tim "Love" Lee. After releasing a mix album, Back to Mine, the duo returned with Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub).

The Lovebox festival highlighted a new kind of funk for Groove Armada, with kitschy vibes and collaborative efforts coming from Neneh Cherry, Debbie Harry and R&B singer Sunshine Anderson. Soundboy Rock continued the emphasis on catchy hooks and became the fourth straight Groove Armada album to reach the British Top Ten.
